July 16th: You’ve seen all of the movies, you’ve read all of the books. How has the Harry Potter series influenced your life?

It’s had a great influence on me since I was 9 years old. Our teacher was reading the Philosopher’s Stone and I fell in love straight away. I ran out and bought my own copy and I still own that exact copy to this day. I try and re-read them at least once every year, at the moment I am on Chamber of Secrets.

July 15th: Today’s the day! Talk us through your plans for the build-up to you watching the last movie, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part II

My plans for the build up to Deathly Hallows Part 2 was going to the cinema with my girlfriend every day for a week to watch the re-releases of all the Harry Potter films. We saw everything from Philosophers Stone to Deathly Hallows Part 1. Straight after Part 1 we went to a midnight showing of Part 2 and it was a great night.

July 14th: Do you expect Deathly Hallows Part II will be a fitting end to the series?

I think it will be. The climatic duel between Harry and Voldemort looks to be spectacular and, unlike most, I like the epilogue so that should be fun to see these characters 19 years later.

July 13th: Lots of characters are killed in the books. If you could bring back one character from the dead, who would it be and why?

Fred Weasley. Him and George are two of my favourite characters and one without the others just doesn’t seem right.

July 11th: You have a bottle of Veritaserum, enough to use on one character. Who would you use it on, and what five questions would you ask them?

I’d use it on Dumbledore

4. What do you do when you are not at Hogwarts?
5. Whats the secret to a great beard?

July 10th: Have you ever cried over a scene in a Harry Potter book/movie?

Yes, I always cry when I read Deathly Hallows. Mostly at the deaths of Dobby, Fred, Lupin and Tonks.

July 9th: Who is your least favourite Hogwarts Staff member, and why?

Professor Binns

I had a teacher like him when I was younger and I never liked him either.

July 8th: Which actor from the series would you most like to meet, and why?

Probably Evanna Lynch because she is a massive Potter fan and we could talk about Potter all day.

July 7th: Who is your least favourite female character, and why?

Pansy Parkinson

Obviously, no one is supposed to like Pansy and I really don’t like her. It’s her line in Deathly Hallows that is the icing on the cake.

July 6th: Are there any actor casting decisions that you were unhappy with? Who would you replace them with?

Non that I can think of. I didn’t like Gambon at first, mostly because Richard Harris was perfectly cast in my eyes, but I have warmed up to him now.

The casting is one of the things that the films got absolutely spot on.
